slip and slide

praise report: i am so thankful for how things turned out today. so, while i was walking to the school of english, i was honestly feeling rather disheartened and almost positive that no one was going to show up for soccer (students/kccfers) because of the cold rainy weather. still, there was the slim chance ... and while i was humming a worship song which now escapes me and trying to fix my broken umbrella on the porch, a voice called out, "hey, is there soccer today?" 5 int'l guys in two cars had driven up looking to play some soccer in the rain. hurrah! arriving at city park, i spotted one person from kccf. he, as it turned out, was calling up the others and one by one, ppl from kccf arrived to join the 5 guys and i in a match of soccer. it was greeaaaattt ... slipping and sliding and just getting totally muddy and wet and not caring (that much at least). :D we had, at least, 15 ppl show up. some were spectators (kccfers), but most of the ppl played. all i can say is thank you, jesus, for bringing the people out today to spend some fun times together and for allowing the students to just talk and get to know some of the queen's students. and maybe next time, just maybe, we'll be able to share more with the students. but, for now ... companionship is good enough. the students, for sure, were glad to have had people to play with today.
